the Nonprofit Leadership Development Center,
located at our office in Norfolk's historic Ghent,
VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads delivers comprehensive
classes and resources to build the capacity of the
local nonprofit sector, its professional staff and
volunteers to better address serious community

Institute for Nonprofit Leadership Conference
The
Hampton Roads Institute
for Nonprofit Leadership Conference
is presented annually in
partnership with local foundations and leadership
organizations. This conference brings the caliber
of speakers and sessions offered at a national
convention with the economy and convenience of a
local symposium. The goal of the conference is to
deliver knowledge and tools to assist nonprofits in
better serving their organizations and community.

Nonprofit Resource Training
Series
The
Nonprofit Resource Training Series offers
quality, small group training that addresses topics
of interest to nonprofits and an economical tuition
rate that fits nonprofit budgets. Our pro bono
faculty members , our experienced trainers provide
individual attention and guidance. Classes are
offered for the following tracks: Nonprofit
Management, Fund Development, Marketing, Volunteer
Management and Technology. Thanks to a
generous grant from The Norfolk Foundation,
VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads has been able to create
technology labs to enhance training. For the

Nonprofit
Resource Library
VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads
provides public access to a wealth of information
through our Nonprofit Resource Library.
The library houses the Foundation Center's
Cooperating Collection. The collection
provides free access to a national database of over
80,000 funders through Foundation Directory
Online Professional. The library also features
more than 200 titles on a variety of topics targeted
for the nonprofit professional. The library
contains books, journals and other resources
covering the tools and knowledge needed to excel in
the third sector. The library is
available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Nonprofit Resource Directory
The annual directory of
VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads' nonprofit members is a
valuable
tool that can help
organizations identify opportunities for
collaboration and provide information about 150
organizations operating in southeastern Virginia.
The Directory is organized so that you can find
nonprofits based on location or service category and
includes contact information, mission statement,
funding sources, programs and volunteer
opportunities for over 100 local nonprofits. The
directory is available for only $25.00 a copy plus
