Family VOLUNTEER Day-Mayflower Marathon
The FM 99 and 106.9 Fox Mayflower Marathon is an annual food and fund drive that runs 57 ½ hours the weekend before Thanksgiving. This drive collects donations for the Foodbank of Southeastern VA and the Eastern Shore in order to help those struggling with hunger in our community. This opportunity will include the collection of donated canned and dry goods, frozen turkeys and monetary donations. The following week, the food is distributed to our Partner Agencies from the Foodbank warehouse.
By registering for this volunteer opportunity, you agree to:
- Arrive on time for your shift on the date and location indicated
- Be prepared with weather appropriate clothing. The event takes place outdoors, rain or shine. You might be under some shelter, but mostly outside at the event
- Wear closed-toe shoes for safety
