Gallery Crawl! Eat, Drink, and Spread History!
We need volunteers for our annual Gallery Crawl! Volunteers must be 21 and the shift is from 5-10, Saturday, September 22, 2018. We need help with food distribution, directions in the Museum for visitors, registration, handing out glasses and programs and bartenders. Dress code for volunteers is black slacks or skirt with a white collared shirt (no polos please) and black closed toed comfortable shoes. Volunteers receive a food tasting and commemorative glass and of course our thanks! This is a wonderful opportunity for groups! Here is the description of the event! Did you know that only 2% of The Mariners’ Museum’s vast collections are on display? For one night only, you can get up close and personal with a special selection of artifacts that are rarely, if ever, on public display! Experience the stories behind these incredible artifacts through interactive interpreters, share in conversations with curators and conservationists, and learn from collections experts. Your Gallery Crawl Passport will guide you through the permanent galleries while you sip and savor foods and beverages related to each gallery. Now with more artifacts and a three-course food-pairing station in each gallery. Tickets include a commemorative glass, heavy hors d’oeuvres, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, interaction with costumed interpreters and talks with conservation and collection experts.http://www.marinersmuseum.org/gallery-crawl/
