LIFT at Rivers Apartments
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the LIFT program at The Rivers Apartments in Chesapeake, VA.
We will be working with children age 6-15 who live in the apartments and are participating in a Summer Camp organized by Church at Hampton Roads. Each session we will get the participants active with exercise and also take time to discuss an important topic related to good health and empowerment. The program will begin June 18 and run through August 8. Sessions will be from 12 - 1 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volunteers will need to arrive 15 minutes prior to session.
In an effort to build trust and consistency for our participating Athletes, we as that you sign up for at least HALF the program sessions (8). You are only signed up to participate once you have scheduled and confirmed 8 sessions with us.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Volunteers may be 16 and up for this program, volunteers age 13-15 can volunteer with supervision
- Consider volunteering at our program nearby which starts at 10:00 on the same days. The location is at the Boys and Girls Club at Portlock Primary School, the timing would allow you to roll from one program to the other! Contact for more information.
