Registered nurse to help with diabetes education
Chesapeake Care Clinic is in need of a volunteer Registered Nurse to perform diabetes education for diabetic patients. The nurse does not need to be a Certified Diabetes Educator. The volunteer would need knowledge of diabetes in order to provide education related to diabetes and the disease process; medication, diet and nutritional monitoring; foot care, prevention and care of complications; blood glucose monitoring and the techniques of self-monitoring and injection.
Currently the appointments are being done through telehealth.
We would provide training and the educational materials.
