Volunteer Benefits Counselor
Volunteers needed to provide one on one assistance helping seniors and their caregivers navigate Medicare and related health insurance programs.
Volunteers will be trained to help seniors with the following:
- Compare health plans and prescription drug plan options
- Pull messages from Tracker phone system and return phone calls to clients
- Inform clients of other benefits
- Assess client needs and make referrals
- Learn and comply with VICAP policies and guidelines for counselors and certifications
