Teen/Adult Social
Saturday, December 1st, Teen/Adult Social (Ages 15 & Up), Autism Society Location, Endependence Center, 6300 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA Event Time: 4pm-6:30pm - Due to our great response from our teens and adults who attended our socials last year for the first time we have decided to have ongoing bi-monthly socials for this population. We will have a fun time of networking, games, music and more. In addition, to the Teen/Adult group there will be a parallel parent group in another room who will share their ideas with each other. This event is recommended for Older Adolescents and Adults 15 years and older with High Functioning Autism/Asperger’s. (Participation should be determined upon parent’s discretion for individuals 14 and under). Volunteers ages 15 and up! We ask that all volunteers show up no later than 3:15 p.m. for a volunteer briefing. Volunteers are asked to stay until 6:45pm to help break down. Volunteers will be responsible for one thing-having fun with our teens and adults by developing conversations and simply just being a great friend. NOTE: Volunteers 18 years of age and older will be subject to Criminal Background Check.
