Autism Awareness 5K
Saturday, April 5, 2014 Autism Awareness 5K/1 Mile Family Walk, Mt. Trashmore Park, Virginia Beach, VA, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This year the Autism Society, Tidewater Virginia will host our 9th Annual Autism Awareness 5K and Kids Fun Run. The race will be held at Mt. Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach, VA. This event will benefit Autism Society, Tidewater Virginia, our community based organization that helps local families facing autism. We are currently seeking individuals as well as groups to volunteer for this amazing event. The Autism Awareness 5K depends on volunteers like you to assist with helping the event run smoothly. By volunteering, you can help raise funds to assist families affected by autism and make a positive difference for our community. There are a variety of task that you or your group can participate in that include working set-up, break-down,working at kid stations, registration table, water stations, etc. We would appreciate if you would consider volunteering. Once you have registered as a volunteer, someone from our volunteer committee will contact you 1week before the event with further details on task in which you will be assigned.
