VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Housing and Financial Counseling Department Volunteer
Date: April 04, 2020
Supervisor: Housing and Financial Manager, Housing Service Expansion Director
Time Commitment: 6 mos. or more; 4 -6 hours a week (flexible)
DUTIES: Under the direction of the Housing and Financial Counseling within the limitations of agency policy, the incumbent shall execute the following duties:
GENERAL:
- Filing
- Preparation of group education information packets
- Scanning closed client files
- Other duties specifically around general administrative tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and written
- Must work well independently as well as with others
- Must have general computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word, Excel, etc.)
- Must be reliable and consistent with assigned tasks
- Must respect and maintain client file confidentiality
*A volunteer cannot act a housing counselor (contacting clients and /or advising clients of actions they should take pertaining to their housing and /or financial situation.)
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
