Stephanie Gorham, CEO
Stephanie Gorham is a seasoned nonprofit executive with over 20 years’ experience in Texas and Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University, and is currently working on her MBA from Virginia Wesleyan University. Volunteerism, board service especially, has been an important part of her life as she has served on 11 nonprofit boards since 2009, currently serving Hampton Roads Workforce Council and Southeastern Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster boards. She is a 2012 recipient of the Top 20 Under 40 in North Texas, a 2012 graduate of Leadership Wichita Falls, a 2019 graduate of the CIVIC Leadership Institute, and recognized as Inside Business’ 2021 Women in Business and 2022 Power List’s People to Watch.
Liz Pasqualini, Vice President of Community Engagement
Liz Pasqualini joined VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads in July of 2022, bringing with her 14 years of non-profit leadership experience. She has previously served as Executive Director of non-profit organizations in both Connecticut and Rhode Island, with particular expertise in direct human services, social enterprising, and community development. Liz holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Third World Development Studies from Smith College and a Master’s in Public Affairs from Brown University. She has been a proud Rotarian since 2012 and has served as advisor to her local Interact and Rotaract clubs where she has had the opportunity to inspire youth for a lifetime of volunteer service. Liz currently resides in Portsmouth where she is restoring her historic home with the help of her rescue dog Piper.
Alana Slaughter, Director of Corporate Partnerships
Alana Slaughter is a Virginia Beach native and joins VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads after 14 years of sales experience in the hospitality and information technology fields where she focused on building lasting relationships and became a trusted advisor for her clients. She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration at James Madison University and takes pride in being the liaison between corporate and volunteer communities. Alana is an avid soccer player and enjoys living at the oceanfront with her husband and very spoiled rescue cat.
Lexie Martinez, Director Marketing & Software
Lexie Martinez became involved with Volunteer Hampton Roads in November 2017 when she started as a Public Relations and Marketing Intern. Volunteerism has been a part of her life since high school when she began volunteering for various outreach programs through her church. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications and is passionate about making a difference in the community through nonprofit work.
