LIFT at Boys and Girls Club
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the LIFT program at Portlock Primary School in Chesapeake, VA.
We will be working with children age 9-12 who are enrolled in the Boys and Girls Club. Each session we will get the participants active with exercise and also take time to discuss an important topic related to good health and empowerment. The program begins June 18 and runs through August 8. Sessions will be from 10-11 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volunteers will need to arrive 15 minutes prior to session.
In an effort to build trust and consistency for our participating Athletes, we ask that you sign up for at least HALF the program sessions (8). You are only signed up to participate once you have scheduled and confirmed 8 sessions with us.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Volunteers may be 16 and up for this program, volunteers age 13-14 can volunteer with supervision
- We have a session after this one at a nearby location. Please consider traveling to that site as well, programming will be the same with a different group of young participants living at The Rivers Apartments.
