Blue Hat- ReStore Volunteer Shift Leader
Regularly volunteer at the HabitatSHR ReStore a minimum of one day per week Tuesday- Saturday and be counted on to lead the other volunteers (novices and one-timers), 9:00-5:00. Must be able to lead teams of volunteers to accomplish regular duties. Prepare, stock and display materials. Help keep the ReStore clean and clutter free, assist with loading purchases, greet customers, interact with customers in a friendly manner assisting them with locating materials. Half day shifts are possible, with morning shift being preference due to the number of groups that prefer to volunteer in the morning.
Must be at least 18, and agree to a background check. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and work in an open air environment (no heating or air conditioning).
Must attend an orientation and training along with a quarterly meeting.
Pilot program will be located at our 900 Tidewater Drive ReStore in Norfolk and will be expanded to include our Virginia Beach ReStore.
ReStores are HabitatSHR's thrift stores, but we don't sell clothing we sell everything you'd need for your home. All sales from the ReStore go to support our mission to build affordable homes.
