Volunteer to Respond to Veterinary Medical Assistance Applications
Animal Resources of Tidewater is seeking a volunteer to assist with screening applications for veterinary assistance for sick and injured pets, and making appointments at veterinary clinics for providing care. Experience with basic health needs of dogs and cats is required. The volunteer should be organized with basic computer skills. The volunteer should also have good communication skills with the ability to speak professionally to veterinary clinic staff and calmly respond to applicants whose pets are in distress; in general, it is important to like talking to folks on the phone (texting or emailing alone does not work for this position). The volunteer would be part of a team in ART which manages applications, so it is important to be a team player. The volunteer must be available during the day to respond to requests and make calls. This volunteer opportunity is challenging but for the right person, it can be incredibly rewarding to be part of an organization that helps people and their pets at times of crisis and truly saves lives with this program.
