Hampton Heritage Day Festival
On May 09, 2020 , the Hampton History Museum will be hosting its annual Hampton Heritage Day festival! This event will be outside in beautiful Downtown Hampton at:
Mill Point Park
100 Eaton St, Hampton VA 23669
from 10 am to 6 pm.
This annual event seeks to honor the Native American, African, and European cultures that shaped the city of Hampton today through a historical and performative lens. This is a free, public event where we focus on providing opportunities through various mediums (traditional music, dance, storytelling, cultural demonstrations, hands-on activities etc.) to teach about each culture as well as to honor their contributions & the legacy they left on the city of Hampton
The Hampton History Museum needs volunteers to:
· Help set up & break down the event
· Greet the public
· Hand out promotional materials
· Assist with the hands-on activities under the education tent
· Supporting the vendors/performers when requested
· Additional tasks pertaining to the event
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
