Volunteers Needed to Deliver Meals to Seniors - multiple locations
When you deliver a meal, you’re delivering more than just food! You’re delivering security, comfort, and love. Make 2023 your year to try something new, and to give back to your community!
Volunteers needed to pick up hot meals from Beth Sholom Village in Virginia Beach and deliver them to one of our 8 Senior Rec Centers. Meals must be picked up between 930 and 10am and taken straight to the recipients. Once meals have been delivered, temperature control delivery bags will need to be returned to Beth Sholom Village.
Volunteers needed to fill routes, as well as alternate drivers when a volunteer cannot make a scheduled shift.
Our centers are in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake, and we'll work with you to determine the location that works best for you!
Requirements:
Volunteers must complete a background check and volunteer training
Volunteers must possess or obtain a Food Handler’s Card (we will pay for qualified candidate to obtain).
Ability to commit to at least one delivery day per week, approximately 1.5 hours.
Volunteers must have a valid Driver’s License and their own transportation
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
