Kayak Rental Assistant
Assisting with kayak rentals includes but is not limited to:
- Transporting renters to and from the kayak launch
- Unlocking and carrying kayaks from the racks to the launch
- Returning kayaks to the racks and locking them back up
- Distributing life jackets and paddles to renters as needed
- Giving a short safety briefing to renters and answering any questions they may have
- Sanitizing equipment after use and putting it away
Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve is surrounded on three sides by Hoffler Creek on the border of Suffolk and Portsmouth. We launch kayaks into the creek daily Tuesday - Sunday from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm. Having an assistant available on the weekends is our top prioirty at the moment as Saturdays and Sundays tend to be the busiest days. Having an extra set of hands druing the week would aslo be helpful so please let us know when you are available when expressing interest!
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+, Court Ordered Volunteer - Allowed
