Volunteers who work at blood drives are an important part of the team.
Much of today’s medical care depends on a readily available supply of blood from healthy donors. As a Donor Ambassador, you can be the friendly face that welcomes and thanks blood donors.
Blood Donor Ambassadors like YOU are the link that encourages members of the community to donate needed blood. Your openhearted attitude creates ongoing donor support. Through your personal encouragement to those giving blood, the Red Cross is able to give someone another smile, another hug, another chance through the gift of blood.
Volunteer blood donor ambassadors ensure that blood donors have a pleasant and fulfilling experience, from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. During a blood drive, whether you’re greeting donors, answering questions or thanking them for their donation, your courtesy and professionalism will create a favorable impression that encourages ongoing donor support.
