Gallery Docent at the Virginia Aquarium
If you love to learn and enjoy connecting with a diverse group of people this may be the position for you! As a gallery docent you will share information about the aquarium’s exhibits and Virginia’s marine environment with visitors. Candidates must have above average communication skills, be comfortable with large crowds and interacting with children. Applicants with an interest in marine biology are ideal. This is also a great opportunity for retired educators or individuals involved in education.
Following training, a minimum commitment of one 4½ hour shift a week for one year is required.
