Norfolk Community Connect: Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the Community Connect event on Saturday, October 29th from 8:30AM-2:30PM.
Community Connect and Believe In Learning Norfolk are partnering for the long awaited return of a community outreach event. We are in search of at least 30 youth (16 and up) and adult volunteers to assist with set up, break down, parking, vendor information, etc. for the event.
The event will include Norfolk Lifelong Learning partner organizations and will give you the chance to engage more with your community. The organizations will be separated into 3 categories: Health & Wellness, Everyday Living, and Community Resources. This event will be open to the entire City of Norfolk.
This event will be located at Harbor Park.
This is a free community event, no charge to attend.
We are no longer in search of vendors or community organizations for this event. We are continuing our search for volunteers.
There will be two time slots for volunteers:
- Morning Shift (8:30AM-11:30AM): assists with vendor set up, vendor parking, attendee parking, directing the attendees the entrance to the event, etc.
- Afternoon Shift (11AM-2:30PM): assists with attendee parking, directing the attendees the entrance to the event, aids in break down of the event, etc.

El evento incluirá organizaciones asociadas de Norfolk Lifelong Learning y le dará la oportunidad de involucrarse más con su comunidad. Las organizaciones se dividirán en 3 categorías: salud y bienestar, vida cotidiana y recursos comunitarios. Este evento estará abierto a toda la ciudad de Norfolk.
Este evento se llevará a cabo en Harbor Park.
Este es un evento comunitario gratuito, sin cargo para asistir.
Ya no estamos en busca de proveedores u organizaciones comunitarias para este evento. Continuamos nuestra busqueda de voluntarios.
Habrá dos franjas horarias para los voluntarios:
- Turno de la mañana (8:30 a. m. a 11:30 a. m.): ayuda con la configuración del proveedor, el estacionamiento del proveedor, el estacionamiento de los asistentes, muestra a los asistentes la entrada al evento, etc.
- Turno de la tarde (11 a. m. a 2:30 p. m.): estacionamiento de asistentes, mostrar a los asistentes la entrada al evento, ayuda con el desglose del evento, etc.
