Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia - Board Position
Ideal Candidate
- Legally responsible: so that every eligible child can experience the power of a wish
- Fiscally responsible: protect assets and oversee financial decision-making
- Ensure legal and ethical integrity, maintain accountability
- Monitor and strengthen programs, policies and services
- Support the “give and get” policies by making and securing gifts for Make-A-Wish
- Secure adequate resources to make wish granting possible
- Enhance the public perception of Make-A-Wish while engaging the community
- Assess board performance; recruit and support new Board members; and develop board succession plans.

Board Member Financial Contribution Policy
