The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is a national initiative sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) aimed at helping families maximize their tax returns while avoiding the preparation fees charged by businesses. LIFE Financial Assistance Org VITA is a community partner that offers VITA sites across Northern Virginia.
Whether you are a seasoned tax preparer or enjoy interacting with people, we welcome volunteers from all walks of life.
No experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training and IRS certification to equip you with the necessary tools needed to succeed.
