Are you passionate about helping others live healthier lives? Join us as a Health Literacy Volunteer with the Birdsong Health Literacy Center of Excellence, supporting the Healthier 757 initiative and the Rewards for Healthy Living platform at the Portsmouth Public Schools Employee Wellness Fair.
What You'll Do:
As a Health Literacy Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in empowering community members with essential health education. You'll help people understand how to prevent and manage disease through access to a free, digital platform full of fun, interactive games and reliable health information.
Volunteers will:

Introduce individuals to the Rewards for Healthy Living website and mobile app.

Help people scan a QR code to get started.

Assist with registration, including entering their name and email, and confirming their sign-up through email.

Show them how to use the platform to explore games and topics that support healthier habits.

Use a provided tablet or help individuals use their own smartphones to register and participate.

Health literacy is the key to preventing illness, delaying disease, and reducing healthcare costs. By helping others access and understand trusted health resources, you're making a real difference in the well-being of your community.
