About the Event:
Sunsets on the River is a summer concert series held on the beautiful waterfront grounds of The Hermitage Museum & Gardens. Guests enjoy live music, local food trucks, drinks, and sunset views along the Lafayette River.
Volunteers help create a welcoming and organized experience for guests while supporting the museum’s programs and community events.
Volunteer Positions:
Volunteer roles may include (but are not limited to):
- Beer Pourer – Assist with serving beverages to guests (must be 21+).
- Bar Back – Help keep the bar stocked and organized.
- General Admission Check-In – Scan or check tickets and greet guests.
- Membership Admission – Assist museum members with entry.
- Parking Assistant – Help direct guests to parking areas.
- Sponsor Assistant – Support sponsor areas and hospitality needs.
- General Event Support – Help where needed throughout the event.
Volunteer Perks:
Volunteers will receive:
- Dinner and beverages provided by the volunteer coordinator
- Option to enjoy free food from food trucks on site
- Breaks during the event as needed
The opportunity to stay and enjoy the remainder of the event after their shift
Time Commitment:
Volunteers typically serve 5:00 / 5:30 PM – 9:00 / 9:30 PM depending on assignment and event flow.

- August 20 – Sunsets on the River #7
VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION WILL BE ON MAY 4TH 5:30pm - 6:00pm. Volunteers who sign up are required to meet with the volunteer coordinator prior to shifts signed up for, either at the orientation or through a one on one meeting, if you cant make the may 4th date please email: bsease@thehermitagemuseum.org
(Rain dates will be provided for those who sign up.)
Additional Notes:
Please arrive on time for check-in before your shift begins. Comfortable clothing and weather-appropriate attire (close toed shoes a must!) are recommended since this is an outdoor event.
