Building with Bikes and Balls
Partner with Auntie Advocate with our Building with Bikes and Balls program. The Building with Bikes and Balls program provides over 100 basketballs and 100 bikes to children with the Hampton Roads/ Norfolk community (Spring/Summer). During these events Auntie Advocate is raising awareness on community gun violence and police brutality along with providing community resources on how to get involved.Volunteers Needed
Many of our volunteers are retirees, business owners, students , and others who have a passion for our mission. If this sounds like you we need your help!!!
There are multiple jobs you can do to help Building with Bikes and Balls
- We need help distributing sports equipment to students on giveaway day April 7 2023
- We need volunteers to collect surveys and email addresses from community members during the giveaway event April 7 2023
Donations Needed
You can help our ongoing effort to support our Building with Bikes & Balls Program by donating the following items: bikes of all sizes, basketballs, footballs, playground balls, any other sporting equipment in good shape, or supporting monetarily by contacting Auntie Advocate.
Schedule a date and time to meet Auntie Advocate (757-632-5697) in the community center parking lot to pick up any donations.
