Come out and be a part the Yorktown Independence Day 8k & 5k Run/Walk on Thursday, July 4, 2019!
The York County Historical Museum welcomes everyone to the beautiful and scenic roads and trails of the Yorktown Battlefield. Both the 8k and 5k will begin and end near Surrender Field. Race day parking, packet pickup and registration will be conducted at York High School.
This year's local charity that will be benefiting from the event is the York County Historical Museum.
We need many volunteers to participate for this event to be a true success! All volunteers who work the event will receive appreciation, and thanks from Yorktown, all the athletes, York County Historical Museum, an official T-Shirt*, goodie bags*, One Free Admission to Post-Race Party, and can opt to receive a personalized letter documenting their community service hours.
All volunteers are welcomed to stick around for a festive post-race party!
Therefore, if you, or someone you know (groups welcomed) needs community service hours, please consider volunteering for one, or all, of our events. We have other volunteer opportunities throughout the year where we could use your help. If you are interested in finding out additional information about our other volunteer opportunities, please send an email to email@example.com.
We look forward to seeing at the Yorktown Independence Day 8k& 5k Run/Walk!
Thanks for your help!
