Girls on the Run 5K Fall Celebration
The Finish Line is just the Beginning! Girls on the Run is celebrating the end of the Fall season with a 5K celebration at Virginia Wesleyan University. These 3rd - 8th graders have worked hard for the past 12 weeks in preparation for this 5K. We cannot make this event happen without volunteers like you. Shifts vary through out the day, however, most shifts are between noon and 4:00. Girls on the Run is a North American non-profit program that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5K run.
