Ideal Candidate

The ideal Advisory Board candidate for The Salvation Army is a passionate, strategic leader dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission of serving those in need and Doing the Most Good. Candidates should bring expertise in business, philanthropy, legal, marketing, or social services, along with strong community connections to enhance fundraising, advocacy, and resource development. They should be willing to leverage their networks, support donor engagement, and provide strategic guidance to strengthen programs addressing homelessness, food insecurity, and disaster relief. A commitment to active participation in board meetings, mentorship, and community outreach is essential. Ideal candidates possess integrity, leadership, and a deep commitment to making a lasting impact through their advisory role.

Our services include emergency assistance, emergency shelters, feeding programs (food pantries and soup kitchens), transitional housing programs for Veterans (Men’s Hope Centers) and women with children (HOPE Village), seasonal assistance programs, family services (Pathway of Hope), substance abuse treatment (Adult Rehabilitation Center), youth programs, spiritual care, disaster relief, and volunteer outreach.
