Volunteer at the Norfolk Recycles Day Special Waste Collection Event - 4-5-2025
**Registration is required.** Volunteer with Keep Norfolk Beautiful at “Norfolk Recycles Day” Special Waste Collection Event on Saturday, April 5, 9 a.m. to noon, at Azalea Baptist Church (3314 E. Little Creek Rd.)
This drive-through and drop-off event offers Norfolk residents the opportunity to properly dispose of items that include paint, batteries, pesticides, cooking and automotive oils, propane tanks and more.
This event is perfect for volunteers interested in learning more about proper waste disposal and helping out Norfolk residents. Volunteer positions include Plastic Bag Collection, Household Hazardous Waste, Thank-You Table, and more. A minimum of 10 volunteers are needed for this event, so groups are welcome to participate together. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Must be able to walk and move for 3-4 hours, and be able to repetitively lift heavy objects. Closed toed shoes and weather-appropriate attire are required!
